7th National Sauvignon Blanc Competition
Our Oberberg Sauvignon was named the best Sauvignon in Italy for the 2023 vintage.
The National Sauvignon Competition took place for the seventh time this year and is increasingly becoming a key reference event for producers from all over Italy. Once again, 85 Sauvignons, this time from the 2023 vintage, from six wine regions were entered into the competition. At the end of October, the competition wines were no longer tasted by a very broad panel of experts, as in previous years, but for the first time by a five-member committee that included Italian Master of Wine Andrea Lonardi and renowned international experts with special expertise in Sauvignon.
